One year old and Weaning review

Sorry for my absence

Hey guys hope you are all well!?

sorry for my absence but since my last blog post i have had to return to the working world..... i say had to..... i wanted to for my own sanity and adult conversation.

In order for me to return to work I also had to change career as the shifts at my old job just were not child friendly as I was working until 7pm/8pm.

Anyway we have finally found our feet in a routine and I feel I can return to what I love now in doing reviews without my home or husband feeling neglected.

Andddddd would you believe I now have a 1 year old a bloomingggggg 1 year old where the heck has time gone?!
Zoomed by thats where!!

Although I am sad he is growing so quickly its amazing to see what a clever young boy he is turning into and seeing him grow day by day his development and play skills are great and i can now show you what toys and accessories have helped him along the way!

So i'm gonna kick this off with giving a shout out to Nuby and Munchkin which have turned Parker into a super independant eater who will not entertain being fed anymore by anyone!!

Thats all thats to Nuby for there suction bowls which have enable to feed him self messy things like cereals and yogurts with minimum waste as the bowl doesn't move from him highchair until I release it which is great as he cannot throw it like he could standard bowls or tip it like he would a yogurt pot!

Working great along side this have been the Nuby spoons as the have a soft tip to avoid hurting the mouth or throat while he is mastering his mouth aim and an easy grip handle for comfort.....The colours are super appealing too.

I would highly recommend these two products for anyone starting out weaning and developing into free feeders as I have used them from 6 months and have had great success and the wear on the products is fantastic they still look like new and wash up great.

Oh and an added bonus the suction bowls have lids so amazing for taking out to eat at restaurants and friends houses if you want to take food along with you or even left overs for supper!!

Anyway I will love you and leave you for today
Any child friendly cutlery and plates you recommend let me know I am always wanting to try new product

Much Love

Wax Wednesday: Waxical Wonders: Apple of my Eye

Hey there lovelys!
So sorry I have been a bit MIA on the blog lately I have had a poorly baby and then as all you mums will know when you are contained in a home together the germs pass better yourselves..... YAK!

I am pleased to say we are all better now! The conjunctivitis has gone and the nappies are now controllable lol!

So this week for wax Wednesday I am reviewing another Waxical Wonders Product the Apple of my Eye melts ..... Such an adorable Name! I always call Parker the Apple of my Eye I just wish he smelt like these melts in his more stinky moments shall we say! Haha

Apple of my Eye is a cute pyramid shaped melt in a lovely vibrate Apple red.

This melt expelled scent as soon as the box was unsealed and I have a confession, this is the last melt I managed to capture in melting because I love love love these!

This is what I would call my choice of fresh morning melt. It give me that wake me up and go go kind of effect. I light this one first thing and can still smell it well into lunch time. If you like fresh fruity smells this is the one for you.
Why not go over and say hello to the lovely lady @waxicalwonders or visit her here at http://www.waxicalwonders.uk/ and tell her you came from here!

Alternatively drop me a line of what scents you would possibly like to see me review here at @trinimamabebe or email me mommaknowsbest04@gmail.com
Love chatting with you guys!

Toy Tuesday : Teething Toys : Nuby

So I know today's not technically Tuesday...... But I did start writing this on Tuesday then got side tracked by baby puke and exploding nappies! I'm guessing if your reading this blog your well aware of how that feels!
So this week we are talking about teething toys and in particular my favourite brand at the moment Nuby

First up of the two is the Nuby Bug a loop

This is a great teething ring. It has some smooth areas and some bobbly bobbly bits too which Parker seems to love.
He gets the bumble bee or butterfly wing and goes to town rubbing his compers on them.
What I love about this one is the rings enable there to be no edges, perfect for Parker as he has no concept of when pushing something in his mouth is too far so no gag reflex happens with this. The bright colours really engage him as well as he finds it hilarious wearing it as a crown or a bracelet!
To me this teether is a 10/10

Next up is the Icy Bite Teething keys

This bunch of three bumpy keys are a classic teething toy. With there firm base and jelly top they cover all textures loved by teeth and gums.
This have become a new favourite as Parker wants our car keys when he sees them we slyly swap them for these hehe up to now he's none the wiser..... He soon will be though eeks!

A bright and eye catching design and super durable, can be chilled in the fridge also.
These i give a 9/10 only because he swings and bobs me with them haha.

Would you like to win your choice of Nuby Teether?

Wax Wednesday: Waxical Wonders: spring morning

This week I am working with @waxicalwonders wax melts!
These are a great alternative to High end brands we all know and love..... But dare I say it...... These could rival them all!
I was sent three scents to try out and review for you all and the one I am trying out today is Spring Morning
These melts come beautifully packaged and boxed which makes them ideal gifts and well as great storage use if you have a candle cupboard like myself!
As soon as the package is opened the scent jumps out and hits the nostrils like a fresh bouquet of hand tied flowers from the florist!
They are various lovely shaped little gems just like this....

Perfect size for one or two uses as I generally find myself cutting wax tarts in half to make them last longer but no
Need with these beauties!
The scent filled my room within a matter of minutes and they really do smell like what they say on the package..... Spring Morning!
An absolute pleasure to try and would love to work with this brand again

Please pop over and say Hi to them at @waxicalwonders or  http://www.waxicalwonders.uk/ and check out there amazing scent list! As I know for sure I want many more of these scents in my collection.

Wax Wednesday: Scent of the week:Yankee Candle Jar Sicilian Lemon

This week I am trying out a yankee candle jar which I was bought for Christmas.
Sicilian lemon was a great choice for me as I love anything lemon scent, even loo cleaner lol.
I love the jars of the Yankee candles and they way they look on the mantle. But I have to say that is all I love!
I find the smell in the jar when you put your nose into it is gorgeous and smells like exactly what's on the label. Although once lit I find the scent doesn't leave the jar and fill the room unlike the Yankee melts which are a firm favourite!
Also getting your hand in and down to
The wick a week after burning is super difficult. I hear you all screaming buy one of the clicky lighter thingy me bobs with a long handle, I keep forgetting okay!
I feel the cost of this does not reflect value for money

I would rate this
***
3/10 stars
What's your favourite candle/melt scent?
Featuring on the blog next week is Waxical Wonders, an amazing and unusual scented selection wax tart company. Go check them out and say hi at www.waxicalwonders.uk or @waxicalwonders

Toy Tuesday:Melissa & Doug Animal Rescue Shape-Sorting Truck

Toy Tuesday

Melissa & Doug Animal Rescue Shape-Sorting Truck

Ive decided to make a new feature on the blog! Toy Tuesday where by every Tuesday i review a toy on my blog for my son!
i love reading peoples reviews and thoughts on kids toys so thought why not do my own! it gives you great inspiration of what to buy and what to avoid as if i don't like something i will say, whats the point of telling fibs and someone else wasting money if its no good!
Mum power: Stick together and save were possible after all us mums love a good bargain don't we.

So without further a do my son Parker who is now 6 months received this Melissa and Doug toy for Christmas 2015.
I am a massive fan of Melissa and Doug so was thrilled when we got this, after all i love playing as much as the next child.

The animals are nice and chunky with a bright and colourful finish, they are easily graspable even for a 6 month old small hands.
What i love most about the wooden toys is they last a lifetime if looked after and although this toy states 2 year + i think with parental guidance this is fine for all ages.
The drivers are even removable from the front of the truck and they are one male one female so we have taken to calling them mummy and daddy. Of course mummy is always driving as shes better at it ha ha.

To remove the toys is an easy lift able door at the back of the truck so you can pour the toys out easily. Parker is quiet far away from being able to put the shapes in the correct hole but with some mummy help he can throw them in the big open space when the back door is open!

Overall my rating for this toy on a scale of 1 to 10 is..........
**********
10! Without a doubt in my top ten of toys would highly recommend for anyone from 6 months plus with guidance.
As i bit of advice i would always check over older toys and games to see if suitable for your child as many are okay with assistance or maybe small pieces removed, after all what baby wants to just play with rattles for a year!?!? not mine!

£15 seems to be and average price for this across the board of shops

What's your favourite Melissa and Doug Toy? let me know by leaving a message or emailing me at
mommaknowsbest04@gmail.com
or tweet me at @trinimamabebe

Have a great week

Blogger to Blogger Christmas Mail

In November this year I was contacted by a lovely lady over Twitter (who we must of found each other via mummy bloggers or our blog) called Jenny from accidentalhipstermum.com about a pair up project she was thinking of starting around Christmas time where fellow mummy bloggers send each other child related items to review. (See Previous blog post for full write up) Any way life got in the way as it always does and the project has been put on hold until 2016 but never the less me and Jenny choose to still do a secret Santa swap box for our baby boys. We set a limit of £10 to spend. Jenny has a daughter also and I'm all about never leaving a child out so i sent her a few pressies too so she could feel involved!
I'm excited to see what Jenny managed to get for the budget and to see what she thought of my purchases.
Stay tuned for unboxing blog this afternoon. In the mean time if you want to receive blogger mail and the pair up project go ahead and reindeer hop( seen as its Christmas) over the Her blog of even better her Twitter at @hipsterbloggo and don't forget to follow me too I love keeping in touch with my readers! My Top 10 Youtubers of 2015

I love nothing more of a night time that when Parkers tucked up happily sleeping then pouring myself possibly my first hot cup of tea of the day and settling down to watch my favourite youtubers.
I sometimes go through a stage of trying to find new people to watch once i have caught up with all my faves and knowing where to begin can be a mind field with all the different people and topics out there.
So if your like me and into family, fun, beauty and reviews these people will be right up your street, if you havent heard of them already of course which you more then likely have some of them!
So here is my

TOP TEN OF 2015

Mrs Meldrum is a young mum of two lovely little girls who
films fabulous days in the lives, hauls, special events like wedding
days and birthdays.
She is a down to earth straight talking mum but for some reason i find her videos super calming to watch and unwind too!
She lives in the Scottish countryside which looks like a dream....apart from the cold weather that constantly seems to linger for them.
This is a must for a Sunday afternoon for me!

Tara and Mandi are a same sex married couple who predominately vlog there daily life and more importantly vlog the journey to motherhood via a very interesting path.
They used Taras Egg in Mandi's body!
Great concept where everyone is involved and even better they now have there gorgeous baby daughter previously known as "Jelly Bean" but real name of Lennon.
I am now even more hooked on there channel constantly refreshing to see what Lennon has been up to today!

The Pfled fam as they are also known first hit thousands of computer screens around the world when the lovely Arianna sang to Ryan down the aisle on there wedding day! They are now daily vloggers with there one year old daughter soon to be two daughters as they are expecting again! They are good to watch for easy watching family days and Arianna also has a mum channel which is linked to the above youtube channel.

Sarah does loads and loads of unboxing videos which i really enjoy watching she does everything from beauty boxes like Glossy box and you beauty discovery box, to Geek boxes like My geek box, pop in a box and also food boxes like Degusta. She also does alot of fab haul videos. I must admit alot of impulse but fabulous purchases have been made from things i have seen on this channel

Laura and her daughter Lilly do weekly vlogs of what they get upto.It usually includes things like eating out, shopping,Hauls and family and friends fun. Lauras make up and hair is always immaculate i think she should do more videos incorporating this as she would be fab!! Also there are usually some celebrity spotting in Lauras videos which make for fun viewing.

Katie,Paul and Ellie do some fab videos and they travel all over to film them with videos done at home, in London, brighten, Tunisia and even Disney land Paris.Ellie is a great little girl and its fab to see her grow and learn over the vlogs since watching Katies pregnancy vlogs which now seem so long ago.Katie also does some fab DIYs like there bar that im so envious of and some hauls of clothing toys and household things too.

Claires vlog used to go by the name of The Witt family. She puts together some long weekly vlogs that i use as ironing time lol. Its my guilty pleasure that makes me do my ironing once a week. She lives on a lovely farm with her husband and children and multiple animals of course. Aside from the vlogs Claire does food hauls, meal plans, toy hauls and reviews for platforms such as the Playmobile Playologist.

Leanne and her gorgeous brood of 6 children, yes you heard me right 6, films a variety of videos that a fun to watch as you never know what the kids are going to come out with especially the youngest Georgie and Poppy they are tooooo cute. Like most mummy vloggers Leanne does day in the life videos but i feel leannes are more true to life them some as hers include cleaning which doesnt seem to feature in alot of videos but this is a real life task. She also does food hauls, Clothes hauls and present hauls for all the Birthdays and Christmases for her beautiful brood.

9.Leah xl

Leah is a great beauty youtuber mainly. She covers alot of subjects from high end and high street hauls, Get ready with me's,tutorials and also more unusual make up videos like Fab or Flop which is a review type of video. She has also started vlogging with her partner Claire which i am really enjoying they have a great re-pour together and make great viewing. I can see vlogging being a main feature on there channel in future as they are good at it!
Without sounding creepy lol Leahs videos are the once i reach for while taking a bath and unwinding.

10. The PeaChicks and Us

Previously known as Emily,Jack and Indiana it was only fitting now they have a new son to change there Channel name. I have alot of similarity's with Emily. For one our sons are both Called Parker! Both born 4th August 2015 and nearly born the same time! Crazy!!
Indiana is a joy to watch and to see how she interacts with her brother gives me great joy to see the sibling love i hope to have for Parker one day.
A wide variety of videos are on there channel from Day in the lifes, weekend vlogs, reviews and unboxings and question and answers.
What i enjoy seeing most in these videos is the changes both our Parkers are making and to see how different babies born at the same time can be so different just showing that no two babies are the same!
So if on these cold dark nights you want to watch some youtubers you may never have come across give my top ten a try. To save you time and effort i have linked there channels into there names so its as easy as one click away.
I would love to hear your top youtubers to watch an why so drop me a message down below.

Pair up Project Via The Accidental Hipster Mum

PAIR UP PROJECT

I would like to run a blogger to blogger pair up project where I pair up the bloggers who are interested and they send each other a beauty product (or maybe a baby product if I get enough mummy bloggers interested and they would rather have something for baby) and they review it on their blog, linking back to the blog of the sender and this blog too.
I don’t know if I’ve got enough followers on here ad twitter to make the project really big and widespread so it would rely on the people who are interested sharing this on their blog and their twitter so that we can get everyone a partner and maybe garner some interest internationally.
The Proposed Rules (subject to change if any of my readers have some extra good ideas I’d like to include)
1. Register your interest by commenting on here http://www.accidentalhipstermum.com or get in touch via my twitter page http://www.twitter.com/hipsterbloggo and say whether you’d like a beauty product, baby product, both or don’t mind. You’ll need to follow me on here or bloglovin’ to participate. You can also email me at accidentalhipstermum@gmail.com
2. Once you’ve put your name forward, share this post on your blog and twitter. (I’m aware not everyone will be hosted by wordpress so you’ll have to copy and paste.) Use the hashtag #PairUpProject on twitter.
3. I will pair you up based on what you’d like to exchange and put you in touch with one another but you’ll have to exchange postal addresses privately so you’ll need to speak before you send your item(s).
4. I was thinking the price would be set at £10 (or equivalent exchange rate) but if the consensus wants it moved to £20 then I’m open to change.
5. Registration will close midnight 30th Nov and once you’ve been paired up you should send your product(s) asap after contact has been made (within about a week I should say).
6. Try your product and blog about it by 31st December. Link to the blogger who sent you it and to http://www.accidentalhipstermum.com.
7. When you send your package to your blogging companion you should include a little note to say why you have chosen the item(s). Don’t worry if you don’t like writing, a sentence will do. Or you can write a little letter if you’d prefer.
8. The blog post reviewing the item should include pictures or the contents of the package and maybe of it in action too!
9. Remember this is meant to be fun, I’m sure I don’t have to say it but be kind. If you don’t like the product, then be honest but no direct hate to the sender please.
10. This project is also a networking opportunity and will put you in touch with many other bloggers as well as give you something interesting to talk about on your blog. If this goes well I’ll run it again in a few months so keep your eyes peeled!
Let me know when you have posted your review and I will share you post on my blog and twitter as it comes in. Once the project is over and all reviews have been posted I will do a post linking to all blogs who took part. Please head over to at least two of these blogs (not the one you were paired with, you should be following them by then anyway!) and follow and comment. Hopefully this project will end up being a massive linky with a twist and help get your blog noticed and the traffic it deserves.
Can’t wait to do this. Remember to share this on your blog and twitter to get the most out of this project! ðŸ˜ŠðŸ˜ƒðŸ˜†

Prime Parent

Since becoming a parent 9 weeks ago, as expected I have less time to put my face on in a morning and less time or should I say less interest in topping up my make up throughout the day. So this week on the blog in reviewing make up primers! I need something that keeps my make up attatched to my slightly tired skin all day.
The two products which have come out top of my research is

Benefits Porefessional and Macs Prep and Prime.

Starting with the Mac Prep and Prime which retails for £21.00 for 30ml of product this item claims to be....

An ultra-fluid lotion formulated with special-effect silicones. Calms and soothes the skin, blots away excess oil, and evens out skin redness. Improves the laydown and application of foundation or powder.

Does it do all of the above? Yes! It's keeps away oil and shine reduces the size of pores amazingly, my only criticism is that it seems to be quite drying on the skin but this maybe just my dry combination skin reacting to the product. Either that or the miserable winter weather setting in!

Next up Benefits Porefessional which retails at £24.50 for 22ml.

This product claims to....
Quickly minimise the appearance of pores & fine lines for smoother-than-smooth skin! Apply this silky, lightweight balm alone, under or over makeup. Translucent, oil-free formula complements all skintones and helps makeup stay put. Contains a Vitamin E derivative, known to protect skin from free radicals.

Again this product does everything it claims but I feel it offers a little bit more, where as the Mac Prep is clear silicone the Benefit Porefessional has a nude colour tint to it so it almost could act as a BB cream if you didn't want to wear makeup.
Although it costs more and get less product I would definitely say this is the product that has kept me looking neat tidy and put together 14 odd hours after applying my make up!
Give them a try or feel free to recommend more for me to try!
Love and Hugs

Co Sleep or No Sleep

So many a question surrounds co-sleeping, is it good or is it a big no-no!!
What's your views?
I think it could mean the difference between sleep and no sleep.
When in hospital when my son was born he got little to no sleep in the horrible plastic fish bowl as he kept knocking his arms on the plastic making himself jump
And therefore waking himself up.
On the same hand I knew when we got home if we were to have our baby Parker in a Moses Basket in the bedroom he risks doing the same arm knocking which would make the wicker basket Moses creek. Also I knew with every whimper and Noise he made I would have to stand up out of bed to check he was okay, as I wouldn't want the Moses directly next to my bed on the stand incase I kicked or knocked it so I would place at arms length away near my wall. So before Parker was born we made the decision to purchase the Chicco Next2me bed and OH MY GOD how pleased are we that we did. This thing is worth its weight in gold! If you are having a baby you would be stupid! Yes that's right stupid to not get one its good for your sleep and sanity and your babies! It is not as controversial as sleeping directly in bed with your baby like the whole Kourtney Kardashian saga it's basically an extension to your bed where the baby sleep with the bed securely anchored on to your bed frame it's as safe as houses, with one side folded down so you can see baby at all times. If your choose to face him or her haha. This means super easy access for feeding and replacing baby with minimal fuss. I even change my babies bum while he is turned facing me in there with a changing mat under him. I honestly can't praise this bed enough. It even has a handy carry bag if you want to take your bed away with you and multi positional height to suit all beds and to create a tilt if needed if your baby has colic. This bed has literally made my life 100 times easier, from day two my friends were saying why do you look so good why are you not exhausted and my honest answer is the next2me crib! I have even had pregnant friends approach me asking to buy the bed when Parker moves into his own room but my swift response is no chance I'm saving it for baby number 2!! If there is one!! Last but not least on the bigging up of this bed, I do have a Moses basket in the front room for purpose of day times sleeps for Parker, but at 8 weeks old he is close to outgrowing this in length. I think he would fit the next2me bed for a long long time if I allowed him to stay in my room
For longer then 6 months!
Moral of the story, get a next2me crib you will not regret it and I will eat my socks if you do!
Find it here at Argos
